Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a dedicated Maintenance/Janitorial team member to uphold cleanliness and safety across club facilities, including exterior areas. You will gather and return carts, ensure cart availability at the entrance, and perform routine cleaning tasks with safe equipment operation.

The role emphasizes daily maintenance responsibilities, ability to work independently or in a team, and adherence to GOLD standards while supporting a positive member experience.

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete required training and certification processes.
• Prior maintenance or janitorial experience preferred, but not required.
• Prior retail/wholesale experience preferred.
• May be less than 18 years of age to perform parking lot cart functions; must be over 18 to operate equipment and enter age restricted areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt and courteous service; maintain safety and sanitation.
• Keep club facilities clean, including sales floor, offices, restrooms, and outdoor areas.
• Gathers and returns carts/flatbeds from parking lot to club entrance.
• Ensure carts are stocked and in working order at the entrance.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning; operate floor scrubber, trash compactor and baler machines.
• Restock maintenance/cleaning supplies; keep receiving docks and maintenance areas organized.
