Job summary

BJ's Wholesale Club is seeking a maintenance/janitorial team member to keep club areas clean, safe, and welcoming for members. You’ll gather and return carts, assist with general cleaning, and support operations on the floor and in the parking lot.

We value reliability and a service mindset, with training provided. The role may involve lifting, operating basic equipment, and routine upkeep to support a high-quality shopping environment.

Qualifications

• Must complete required training and certification processes.
• Prior maintenance or janitorial experience preferred, but not required.
• Prior retail/wholesale experience preferred.
• Age restrictions apply for certain duties (under 18 for some cart functions; over 18 to operate equipment).

Responsibilities

• Provides members with prompt and courteous service and maintains safety standards.
• Maintains cleanliness of the club areas including sales floor, offices, restrooms and outdoor grounds.
• Gathers and returns carts/flatbeds from the parking lot to the club entrance.
• Ensures carts are stocked and in working order; removes non-serviceable carts.
• Performs routine cleaning tasks such as mopping, sweeping, vacuuming and trash removal.
• Performs minor maintenance and notifies management when major repairs are needed.
• Regular attendance is an essential function of the job.
