Compass Group, North America is seeking a part-time Janitor to maintain cleanliness at Saint Joseph University in Lancaster, PA. You will be responsible for heavy cleaning duties, sanitizing surfaces, and ensuring a safe environment for all.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of janitorial experience and be able to work from 4:00 AM to 8:00 AM Monday through Friday. A variety of benefits is offered, including medical, dental, vision insurance, and a 401(k) plan.

Job Details

• Job Title: JANITOR (Part‑time)
• Location: Saint Joseph University - 850 Greenfield Road, Lancaster, PA 17601. (Openings at other school‑district locations available). Online applications accepted.
• Schedule: Part‑time Monday‑to‑Friday, 4:00 AM to 8:00 AM. Flexibility for full and part time.
• Requirement: One year of previous janitorial experience.
• Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of the campus building, performs heavy cleaning duties, sanitizes surfaces, and ensures a safe environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dusts and damp mops floors following approved procedures.
• Moves equipment and furniture to facilitate cleaning and replaces them in correct location.
• Uses assigned materials and equipment to clean and sanitize all surfaces following an eight‑step procedure.
• Washes walls, windows, floors, baseboards, furniture, and other fixtures.
• Identifies areas requiring cleaning and takes initiative to complete the task.
• Completes all tasks assigned by the supervisor.
• Performs tasks in accordance with all federal, state, and county guidelines.
• Strips, scrubs, buffs, refines floors, and shampoos carpet.
• Contributes to the team; demonstrates professionalism with customers, co‑workers, and others.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
