RTX is seeking a facility/grounds maintenance candidate to perform janitorial duties and grounds care at the Chesapeake, Virginia site. The role includes cleaning, lawn care, hedge trimming, and related tasks essential to maintaining a secure government facility.
Candidate must have a HS diploma/GED, 6+ months in grounds/janitorial work, the ability to follow procedures with minimal supervision, and citizenship to qualify for DoD security clearance.
Perform routine cleaning of all areas of the site facilities.
Perform janitorial tasks to maintain sanitary conditions including, but not limited to floor buffing, sweeping, mopping, dusting, removing trash, and wall/window/bathroom/furniture cleaning.
Maintain the grounds of the ROTHR facilities.
Duties also include cutting grass, trimming hedges, edging, pruning shrubs, planting grass, spreading fertilizer, and application of pesticides.
Candidate will perform all other related duties as assigned and required.
This position is on a service contract with a set (non‑negotiable) hourly rate of $17.75/hour.
The U.S. Department of Labor Wage and Hour Division sets the Service Contract Act (SCA) health and welfare benefit rate.
The Health & Welfare benefit for this role is $6.00/hour. This fringe benefit is separate from and paid in addition to the required base hourly monetary wag.

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.
