• Seeks out areas requiring cleaning and takes initiative.
• Completes all tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Performs tasks in accordance with guidelines.
• Strips, scrubs, buffs, and refinishes floors.
• Contributes to the team and exhibits professionalism.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Overview

We are hiring immediately for a FULL TIME AND PART TIME JANITOR position.

Location: Moore Public Schools, 1500 SE 4th St., Moore, OK 73160 (Openings at other locations within school district available). Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: More information upon interview (Full and Part Time with the flexibility to meet most scheduling needs).

Pay Range: $14.00 per hour to $16.00 per hour.

Requirements: Janitorial experience strongly preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dusts and damp mops floors following approved procedures.
• Moves equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and places furniture back in correct placement.
• Cleans assigned areas using assigned materials and equipment, sanitizing all surfaces, and following the eight‑step cleaning procedure.
• Washes walls, windows, furniture, baseboards and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment for students, visitors and staff.
• Seeks out areas requiring cleaning and takes initiative to complete the task.
• Completes all tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Performs tasks in accordance with all federal, state, and county guidelines.
• Strips, scrubs, buffs and refinishes floors; shampoos carpet.
• Contributes to the team; exhibits professionalism with customers, fellow employees and others.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
