Job summary

Diversified Maintenance is hiring a Janitor to perform all-purpose cleaning and basic preservation tasks inside client sites. The role requires flexibility and adherence to client specifications. Compensation is $13 per hour with a 6a–11a, Monday–Sunday schedule totaling 35 hours weekly.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and can follow instructions with attention to detail. On-the-job training is provided and Equal Opportunity employment is offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 6 months janitorial experience.
• On-the-job training provided.
• Detail-oriented with good instruction-following skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean all floor surfaces, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage.
• Clean, monitor and maintain restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors, and entrances.
• Empty trash cans and use a compactor for certain materials.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaners.
• Spot clean carpets and assist in carpet extractions and shampooing.
• Replenish paper products and sanitary supplies.
• Follow housekeeping schedule.
• Occasionally use heavy cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers and backpacks.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the client.
