Job summary

Diversified Maintenance is seeking a Janitor to perform all-purpose cleaning and preservation inside a building or multiple client sites. The role requires flexibility to adapt to each client’s specifications and maintain high cleanliness standards.

The position offers a pay of $12 per hour with a 35-hour work week, Mon-Sun 6am-11am. On-the-job training is provided; prior janitorial experience is a plus, and a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or six months janitorial experience.
• On the job training will be provided.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions are essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean all floor surfaces including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming.
• Follow procedures for use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage.
• Clean, monitor and maintain restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors and entrance areas.
• Empty trash and dispose of waste appropriately; operate a compactor for certain materials.
• Clean windows, glass partitions and mirrors with appropriate cleaners.
• Spot clean carpets and assist in carpet extractions and shampooing.
• Replenish paper products and sanitary supplies.
• Follow housekeeping schedule and routines.
• Occasionally operate heavy cleaning equipment like floor scrubbers and buffers.
• Perform other duties as required by scope of work or customer needs.
