Job summary

R+L Carriers is seeking a Facility Maintenance/Janitorial worker in Wilmington, OH for a 3rd shift, Monday–Friday 10:00pm–6:30am. Starting pay is $16.40 per hour with full benefits and vacation after 90 days.

You will perform a range of janitorial tasks to keep the service center clean and safe. Responsibilities include restroom cleaning, floor care, waste disposal, reporting repairs or hazards, and maintaining cleaning supplies.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
• 1–2 years of experience in care and cleaning of buildings.

• Observes premises and equipment; reports repairs or safety hazards.
• Dusts blinds, furniture, and fixtures.

• Polishes furniture and metalwork.
• Maintains inventory of cleaning supplies.
• Washes walls, ceilings, and windows.
• Loads and unloads supplies.
• Shampoos carpets.
• Performs related duties as assigned.

R+L Carriers has an immediate need for Janitors at our Wilmington, OH Service Center. Employees in this job will perform and oversee a variety of janitorial and/or custodial tasks to maintain a clean and safe building and grounds.

Job Duties

• Cleans and services restrooms
• Sweeps, vacuums, and mops floors and stairways
• Gathers and dispose of rubbish and waste materials by hand or with the use of powered equipment
• Observes appearances and conditions of premises and equipment; reports needed repairs, safety hazards, or conditions requiring outside vendor services
• Dust such items as blinds, furniture, file cabinets, and window sills using treated dust mittens, cloths or hand-cleaning items
• Scrubs and sanitizes floors using powered machines equipped with rotating brushes and/or mop
• Polishes furniture, metalwork, and chrome using appropriate cleaning and polishing compounds
• Maintains an inventory of cleaning and toiletry supplies
• Washes walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, mirrors, and fixtures using both step and extension ladders
• Loads and unloads supplies, using dollies and handcarts
• Shampoos carpets
• Performs related work as assigned

Requirements

• The job duties require an employee to bend, reach, and stand for extended periods of time
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills are required
• Must have 1 – 2 years of experience in the care and clean of building
