Job summary

Didlake, Inc. is seeking a full-time Janitor to maintain clean, safe, and welcoming offices and facilities in Virginia Beach. The role involves cleaning floors, restrooms, and common spaces, using various cleaning tools, and reporting maintenance needs.

Qualified applicants should have a High School diploma or GED (or custodial experience), US citizenship, and the ability to obtain required credentials. A valid Real ID and a driver's license with at least 3 years of insured driving are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or six (6) months of custodial experience.
• United States citizenship.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required credentials/background checks.
• Must have a valid Real Id for access to the work site.
• Have a valid driver's license and be insurable under Didlake's automobile policy. Requirements include a minimum of 3 years of licensed driving and being at least 25 years old.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain work areas, restrooms, and common spaces in offices or other establishments.
• Sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floors using brooms, mops, and powered machines.
• Vacuum rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
• Dust and polish furniture, equipment, fixtures, and metalwork.
• Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.
• Empty wastebaskets, ashtrays, and transport trash to disposal areas.
• Replenish restroom supplies and maintain clean restroom fixtures, floors, and walls.
• Follow safety standards and procedures when using equipment and performing tasks.
• Report maintenance issues or damage to your supervisor and requisition supplies as needed.
• Collaborate with your team and demonstrate positive conduct and professionalism.
• Complete required training and perform other duties as assigned.

What You Bring

Education & Experience
