Salinas Valley Post Acute is seeking a reliable Janitor to join our environmental services team in Salinas, CA. The role includes cleaning resident rooms, common areas and hallways, and ensuring a safe, sanitary environment for residents and staff.

You will handle waste, sanitize restrooms and high-touch areas, manage supplies, and assist with light maintenance. Background check and drug screen are required for employment at our healthcare facility.

Qualifications

• Past janitorial/EVS in healthcare or hospitality preferred.
• Stand, walk, bend and lift up to 50 lbs during an 8-hour shift.
• Reliable with strong attention to detail and punctuality.
• Ability to read instructions, follow safety labels and communicate with residents and staff.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening required for healthcare facility employment.

Responsabilités

• Maintain cleanliness: sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors throughout the facility, including resident rooms, common areas, and hallways.
• Waste disposal: empty trash, recycling, and biohazard bins daily according to healthcare regulations.
• Sanitization: clean and disinfect restrooms, high-touch surfaces, fixtures, and clinical spaces to minimize infection risks.
• Supply management: monitor and restock cleaning supplies, soap dispensers, and paper products.
• Facility care: assist with minor maintenance tasks, floor buffing, and setup for facility events as needed.
• Safety compliance: follow all safety protocols, chemical handling procedures (OSHA/SDS), and healthcare standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Reliability: Strong work ethic, punctuality, and excellent attention to detail.
• Communication: Ability to read instructions, follow safety labels, and interact politely with residents and staff.
• Background Check: Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening required for healthcare facility employment.
