Job summary

RAE Corporation in an industrial manufacturing facility seeks a diligent Manufacturing Plant Janitor to maintain cleanliness and sanitation, supporting a safe, hygienic environment for all employees.

You will perform routine cleaning tasks, restrooms, waste disposal, operate cleaning equipment, and assist with setup of meeting rooms and events, while following safety procedures and collaborating with teams to uphold quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred, especially in a manufacturing.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemicals, and equipment.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift and carry heavy objects, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors, offices, corridors, and production areas.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas according to established protocols.
• Empty trash and recycling bins regularly, ensuring proper disposal of waste materials.
• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and toiletries as needed.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, and pressure washers.
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of meeting rooms and special event spaces as required.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace.
• Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or security concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to cleanliness, hygiene, and waste management.
• Collaborate with other team members and departments to maintain a positive working environment.
