Job summary

RAE Corporation in Pryor, Oklahoma is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to perform maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds, equipment, and appliances, ensuring a safe, clean, and functional work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Inspect buildings and grounds regularly to ensure areas are in good condition.
  • Perform routine maintenance such as changing light bulbs and repairing doors/windows.
  • Address basic plumbing issues as they arise.
  • Perform non-electrical building maintenance and care for tools and equipment.
  • Change oil in company vehicles and maintain equipment as needed.
  • Ensure grounds and parking lots are clean of debris and garbage.
  • Review work order priorities daily and ensure timely completion.
  • Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts as required.
  • Charge time accurately in payroll system.
  • Follow instructions, work independently, and complete tasks on time.
  • Advise supervisor of equipment malfunctions.
  • Keep work areas clean and safe.
  • Work overtime and be on-call as needed.
  • Adhere to government regulations and company policies.

Role Overview:

The Maintenance Assistant will perform various tasks related to the maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds, equipment, and appliances. This role is crucial for maintaining a safe, clean, and functional work environment while supporting the overall operations of the facility.

  • Advise the supervisor or maintenance team regarding any equipment malfunctions or issues.
  • Clean work areas as required, keeping the environment organized and safe.
  • Work overtime and be on-call as needed.
  • Adhere to government regulations, company policies, and procedures at all times.

Interaction with Others:

Reports to the Maintenance Lead. Must be able to understand instructions and communicate clearly with supervisors and other team members. Works closely with other employees and departments to ensure maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and safely.

Work is performed in an industrial production area where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts, vehicles, and high noise levels. There are seasonal temperature variations, including extreme heat and cold. Stress may arise from the need to meet deadlines and maintain product quality standards. The role may require flexibility in working hours depending on production demands.
