Job summary

Royale Company in New York City seeks a reliable full-time janitor to keep lobbies, hallways and common areas clean in luxury residential buildings. You will learn our standards through paid training from day one.

Typical shifts are 8 hours, 40 hours per week, with some weekends and holidays. Prior janitorial experience is preferred. A background check is required and we provide uniform and growth opportunities within building operations.

• Reliability and punctuality.
• A friendly manner and a neat, presentable appearance with residents and guests.

Job description

If you have janitorial experience, your skills carry straight over. You clean lobbies, hallways and stairwells, handle trash and recycling, and keep entrances tidy, in a residential building rather than an office or warehouse. We provide training, so you will learn how things are done in our buildings from day one.

The Job

You keep the building clean and welcoming for the residents who live there. On a typical shift you will:

• Sweep, mop and clean lobbies, hallways, stairwells and other common areas
• Collect and take out trash and recycling
• Keep entrances and the front desk area clean and tidy

Schedule

This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, on 8-hour day shifts. There are no night shifts. Schedules are fixed but vary by building, for example 8am to 4pm, or 12pm to 8pm on trash collection days, and include weekends and holidays. Tell us your availability and we'll match you to a compatible shift.
