Job summary

GEO Corrections & Detentions is seeking a full-time janitorial worker to maintain a clean, safe facility and support daily operations. You will inspect and clean facilities, manage supplies, and handle chemicals in a secure environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma, physical fitness, US citizenship, and the ability to pass a background check; 21+ years old preferred. This role is based on site at a GEO facility in the United States.

Qualifications

• Must be in good physical condition.
• Experience with industrial machinery and standard janitorial practices preferred.
• U.S. citizenship required and able to pass a rigorous background check.
• Minimum age 21 years.

Responsibilities

• Keep the facility clean and compliant with health and safety standards.
• Inspect facility and grounds daily for safety and cleanliness.
• Conduct weekly inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Handle chemicals and hazardous materials safely.
• Maintain a safe working environment and participate in safety training.
• Perform basic minor repairs and care for trees, shrubs, and lawns.

Responsibilities

It takes someone who is responsible, self-motivated, and cooperative to:

• Make sure the facility is cleaned according to health and safety standards.
• Inspect the facility and grounds daily for safety and cleanliness.
• Conduct weekly inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Maintain proper handling of chemicals/hazardous materials.
• Maintain a safe working environment and attend safety awareness training.
• You may also make basic minor repairs and take care of trees, shrubs, and lawns.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent certification required.
• Experience in the use of industrial machinery and knowledge of common janitorial practices and procedures used preferred.
• Must be in good physical condition.
• Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
• Must be a United States citizen.
• Must be willing to undergo a rigorous background investigation as required by U.S. Marshals.
