Job summary

The GEO Group, Inc. is seeking a dedicated on-site facilities helper in Newark, NJ to maintain cleanliness and safety across our site. You will routinely inspect areas, manage inventories, and handle chemicals properly to support a secure workplace.

You will also assist with minor repairs and outdoor care, contributing to a safe, efficient environment aligned with GEO's standards. This role emphasizes physical readiness and strict adherence to health protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with janitorial practices and equipment preferred.
• Must be in good physical condition and at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Make sure the facility is cleaned according to health and safety standards.
• Inspect the facility and grounds daily for safety and cleanliness.
• Conduct weekly inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Maintain proper handling of chemicals/hazardous materials.
• Maintain a safe working environment and attend safety awareness training.
• You may also make basic minor repairs and take care of trees, shrubs, and lawns.
