Job summary

IntegriWard, LLC is seeking a dedicated Janitor to perform cleaning across offices, corridors, restrooms, and laboratory spaces at the Great Lakes Toxicology and Ecology Duluth facility.

Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, dusting, disinfecting surfaces, restocking supplies, and proper waste removal. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, at least two years of janitorial experience, and be able to pass drug and background checks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of two years of experience as a janitor or custodian.
• Knowledge of standard janitorial methods and practices in industrial/commercial settings.
• Ability to operate janitorial equipment per safety guidelines.
• Must comply with OSHA regulations.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

The Janitor is responsible for performing cleaning services of the offices, corridors, restrooms, laboratory space, storage rooms and buildings, and other support areas at the Great Lakes Toxicology and Ecology division – Duluth laboratory facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
• Perform dusting of furniture, window sills, ledges, office equipment, hand rails, etc.
• Clean walls, baseboards, doors, fans, vents, clocks, etc.
• Clean and disinfect restroom fixtures and surfaces.
• Stock consumable supplies in restrooms.
• Clean door glass and surrounding windows on entrance doors and interior rooms.
• Clean surface areas and floors of stair landings and steps.
• Clean lunch and break room appliances, tables, chairs, sinks, and counters.
• Collect trash and recycled items and remove to designated areas.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) Certificate.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Janitor or Custodian.
• Knowledge of standard janitorial service methods, practices and techniques used in an industrial or commercial environment, and preferably in a government related environment.
• Ability to operate janitorial equipment and machinery in accordance with government standards.
• Must have a working knowledge and comply with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and driving history must meet company standards throughout employment.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and a background check as a condition of employment and to obtain access to federal installations.
