Job summary

Controlled Contamination Services in the United States is seeking a reliable Janitor to maintain cleanliness of interior facilities, lobby, restrooms and all areas assigned by contract or supervisor.

Shifts are Monday–Friday 2:00 pm–10:30 pm or 6:00 pm–2:30 am, with emphasis on safety, attention to detail and timely completion of duties in a sensitive environment.

Responsibilities include trash removal, floor care, glass cleaning, disinfecting surfaces and reporting hazards to supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic including money and measurements.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 40 pounds in a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

• Pick up trash and replace liners.
• Vacuum, mop, strip and wax, and sweep all floor areas.
• Dust, spot clean walls, glass, and sanitize all areas.
• Wash, wipe down, sponge, rinse, and disinfect assigned work areas.
• Note and report repairs or hazardous conditions to supervision.
• Adhere to all safety rules, policies and procedures.
• Report damage to customer property, suspicious activities and unsafe conditions.
• All other duties as defined by supervisor.

Position Purpose

The Janitor role in the company is responsible for the general upkeep, maintenance cleaning of interior buildings/facilities/lobby’s office areas, restrooms and all areas determined by contract or assigned by supervisor.

Shift Details

Monday - Friday 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm

Monday- Friday 6:00 pm - 2:30 am

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Pick up trash and replace with trash liners
• Vacuum, mop, strip and wax, and sweep all floor areas
• Dust, wall spot, clean all glass, polish, sanitize all areas.
• Wash, clean, wipe down, sponge, rinse, scour and disinfect any assigned work area
• Note and report all areas in need of repair and any hazardous condition requiring correction.
• Adhere to all safety rules and requirements and all policies and procedures
• Report all damage to customer property, suspicious activities and unsafe conditions within their work area to the supervisor.
• All other duties as defined by supervisor.

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
• Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
