Rate of Pay: $15.00 - $16.25/hour

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive, hands-on Janitor to perform janitorial and minor maintenance duties, ensuring the overall upkeep of the sports complex and grounds. Responsibilities include cleaning and small repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform general janitorial and maintenance tasks following local building and fire codes.
• Keep entrances, grounds, and parking lot clean, clear, and safe, including:
• Property & grounds cleanup
• Grass cutting and edging
• Seasonal snow and debris removal
• Maintain checklists, records, and reports for:
• Change room cleanliness
• Window cleanliness
• Washroom cleaning
• Shower cleaning
• Parking lot & property cleaning

Additional duties include vacuuming, auto scrubbing, waxing, buffing, minor maintenance, and assisting with ice maintenance during peak periods or staffing shortages.

Education and Knowledge Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (asset)
• Valid driver’s license (asset)
• Building Service Worker Certificate (BC)
• Previous experience as a commercial janitor (preferred)
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and call-outs
• Good communication skills (verbal and written) and team-oriented attitude
