Job summary

Unified Government of Athens-Clarke County is seeking a Central Control Operator to provide surveillance and security control for the jail facility. You will monitor CCTV, radios, intercoms, and phones, prioritize security communications, and ensure life-safety systems are active and responsive.

The role requires a 12-month probationary period, 18+ years of age, and the ability to work 12-hour day or night shifts with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Emergency position with attendance during emergencies.
• 12-month probationary period.

Responsibilities

• Operate Central Control panels and manage entry authorization by visual staff IDs.
• Maintain control of all entry/exit doors and gates within the facility.
• Monitor video surveillance and intercom systems continuously.
• Maintain daily activity log and report incidents to supervisors.
