City of Santa Fe Springs is seeking a Civilian Jail Control Room Operator. The role involves monitoring CCTV, operating control room doors and elevators, and handling NCIC/VCIN terminals in a county jail environment.

You will prepare comprehensive reports, assist the public with jail and court questions, and monitor safety systems. Requires a high school diploma and Virginia certification readiness; US citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must become certified in NCIC/VCIN terminals.
• U.S. citizenship and 18+ years old are required.

Responsibilities

• Constantly monitor facility activities via video cameras.
• Operate control room electronics for doors, elevators, and equipment.
• Use NCIC/VCIN terminals for in-house and law enforcement staff.
• Prepare required reports and logs.
• Provide public assistance over the phone and in person.
• Monitor fire, panic, and elevator emergency systems as needed.
• Report emergencies and coordinate with EMS and supervisors.
• Learn and execute emergency plans and policies.
• Maintain professional conduct under stress.
• Complete testing, training, and certifications as required.
