Ada County Sheriff's Office in Boise, Idaho is seeking a Security Control Specialist to support jail operations with state-of-the-art security technology. You will monitor access, manage CCTV, and help maintain a secure and orderly environment.

This hands-on role includes coordinating with staff during incidents, logging data, and performing routine equipment checks. Training is provided, with opportunities for growth within the detention and public safety teams.

Responsibilities

• Facility Oversight: Proactively monitor and manage movement of staff, inmates, and visitors to maintain a secure environment.
• Security Console Mastery: Operate CCTV, door controls, alarms, lights, and fire systems to enhance surveillance.
• Communication Expertise: Use telephone and radio to manage calls within the facility.
• Emergency Incident Command: Act as Incident Command Center and coordinate with responders during emergencies.
• Data Management: Keep logs of radio assignments, maintenance requests, and essential data.
• Technical Troubleshooting: Identify and report issues with radios, alarms, or security equipment.
• Tech-Savvy Operator: Operate computers and office equipment; perform basic maintenance.
• Flexible Team Player: Take on additional duties as needed.
• Schedule Flexibility: Work all shifts, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
