Job summary

Salvation Army Office in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Jail Reentry Case Manager to screen for risk, mental health and substance use, and coordinate diversion from incarceration. The role focuses on adults with complex needs, collaborating with prosecutors, providers and courts at the David L.

Moss Center and other agency sites. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in social sciences (or related fields), plus Case Management II certification or plan to obtain it after hire; a valid Oklahoma driver

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in the social sciences field required.
• Case Management II certification or obtain after hire.
• Valid Oklahoma Driver License with driving record.
• Ability to build trusting relationships with clients with mental health or substance use issues.
• Willingness to travel to locations beyond the primary office.

Responsibilities

• Provide risk, mental health and substance abuse screening for district court defendants.
• Identify diversion options to incarceration and support jail re-entry.
• Coordinate with attorneys, treatment providers and agencies to move cases along.
• Conduct assessments to initiate treatment and jail-re-entry planning.
• Lead group sessions for inmates on substance use and thinking for change.
