Job summary

Jacobs Entertainment, Inc. is seeking a Facilities Technician I for The J Resort in Reno. This role supports maintenance across a large hotel-casino, ensuring safe and reliable operations of buildings and equipment.

You will handle basic repairs, use power tools, and respond to maintenance requests with adherence to safety policies. High school diploma or equivalent is required, and a valid driver’s license is needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to safely operate power equipment and basic tools.
• Knowledge of life safety systems operation and reset procedures.
• Ability to understand MSDS information and follow safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Maintains operating condition of casino buildings and equipment and performs simple repairs.
• Applies knowledge of mechanical, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, painting, and plumbing basics.
• Possesses basic knowledge of hand or power tools.
• Follows safety guidelines in all tasks.
• Responds to maintenance requests across the property.

Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Maintains operating condition of casino buildings and equipment and completes simple repairs
• Uses knowledge of fundamental mechanical, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, painting, and plumbing
• Possess basic knowledge of hand or power tools
• Must be able to follow safety guidelines
• Responds to radio, telephone, and verbal requests for maintenance and repairs throughout the property

Skills, Education and Other Requirements:

• Ability to work safely with power equipment and tools
• Proficient in life safety systems operation and resetting
• Must be able to understand and follow MSDS sheets
• Know the location of all safety equipment how to use the safety equipment and check safety equipment
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• High School Diploma or Equivalent Work Experience
• General maintenance experience preferred
• Identification that establishes identity
