Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years pharmacy technician experience, or 1 year of pharmacy technician lead/supervisory experience.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) is required.
• CSPT certification within 12 months of hire if supervising Compounding Technicians.
• Must be licensed/registered as required by state.
• Excellent customer service and mathematical calculation skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee pharmacy technician operations in the IV room.
• Develop operational goals and track progress toward them.
• Ensure compliance with all policies and state regulations.
• Identify staffing needs and approve technician schedules.
• Interview and hire technicians; evaluate for promotions.
• Prepare aseptic IV admixtures, including chemotherapy preparations.
• Maintain quality control in the clean room and laminar flow hood, and document QC activities.
• Perform at an advanced practice level where allowed by state regulations.
