Wellstar Health System in Georgia seeks an experienced Pharmacy Technician with leadership capabilities to supervise Technicians in the IV room and support the Technician Supervisor. You will oversee aseptic compounding, IV admixtures, and distribution tasks, ensuring accuracy and patient safety.

You will work with Pyxis, prepare a variety of medications, maintain strict documentation, and assist in training new technicians.

Competenze

• Must be proficient in all responsibilities and duties of Pharmacy Technician.
• Must be capable of providing leadership to Technicians and supervision to Technicians assigned to IV room (when applicable).
• Certifications are required upon hire.

Mansioni

• Medication Distribution – pull labels, select medication, fill and label bags, and deliver to units after pharmacist check.
• Cart Fill – prepare patient-specific medications per department procedure.
• Transportation – deliver to units, maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Missing Doses – generate label, fill, and have checked by pharmacist before dispensing.
• Product Preparation – prepare/compound ointments, creams, oral solutions, IV admixtures.
• IV Admixture – aseptic technique, proper attire, and supervision by pharmacist or supervisor.
• Syringes and Large Volume preparations – neonatal syringes, electrolytes, maintenance fluids, and IV nutrition as required.
• Room cleaning and restocking of IV room; Pyxis usage and maintenance.
• Automation and reporting tasks, stock restocking, recalls, and monthly inspections of units.
