Job summary

The State of Connecticut, Department of Children and Families (DCF) in Hartford is recruiting an Eligibility Services Worker to join the Revenue Enhancement Unit. This full-time, first-shift role (Monday–Friday) focuses on establishing IV-E eligibility for DCF youth and maximizing federal reimbursement, coordinating with local, state and federal agencies.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of experience in determining client eligibility for public assistance or related investigations.
• Ability to interpret policies and apply state and federal laws to eligibility decisions.
• Familiarity with Title IV-E eligibility considerations and related regulations.

Responsibilities

• Interview individuals to obtain necessary information for eligibility.
• Determine and grant services and public assistance based on eligibility criteria.
• Enter and modify eligibility data in the Eligibility Management System.
• Conduct periodic redeterminations to ensure correct benefit levels.
• Coordinate with local, state, and federal agencies regarding eligibility and awards.
