Job summary

Mosaic Life Care in Saint Joseph, MO is seeking an experienced Clinic LPN to work on-site in our outpatient clinic. The LPN will assist with patient exams and care under leadership, delegating tasks where appropriate to support staff and maintain patient flow.

The role requires graduation from an accredited practical nursing program and active LPN licensure, IV and BLS certifications, and a valid driver's license for occasional travel between facilities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; LPN licensure required.
• IV certification required upon hire.
• BLS certification required within 90 days.
• Driver's license valid for business travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greets and prepares patient for provider examination and treatment. Performs general nursing care to patients.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards.
• Assists provider with procedures and properly maintains equipment before and after procedures.
• Engages in patient/family teaching to achieve the desired patient outcome.
• Monitors the scheduling of patients, answers patient inquiries, and maintains timely flow of patients.
• Observes, records, and reports patient’s condition to provider.
• Arranges for patient referral testing at other facilities or specialty care.
• Other duties as assigned

Education

Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) state licensure

IV Certification

Basic Life Support (BLS)

Driver's License (in-state)
