Job summary

Econolite Group, Inc. in Ankeny, IA is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to install, troubleshoot, and maintain traffic signals and ITS devices.

This on-site role requires wiring, testing, and basic repair of signals, plus the ability to coordinate with subcontractors and support on-site operations. The ideal candidate has 1–5 years of related ITS experience, a valid driver’s license, and knowledge of safety regulations and traffic control guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–5 years of related ITS/video system experience preferred.
• Ability to interpret schematics, maps and drawings.
• Knowledge of safety regulations (OSHA) and traffic control guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on ITS devices and related equipment, troubleshoot wiring and cabinet issues.
• Program video detection systems and install signal heads, poles and lighting as needed.
• Troubleshoot and repair wiring, test loop detectors, and splice conductors as required.
• Assist in training new technicians and support subcontractor coordination.
• Maintain professional customer service and represent Econolite Group, Inc. positively on site.
