Econolite Group, Inc. in Ankeny, IA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to install, troubleshoot and maintain ITS devices and traffic signals. You will support local operations, work in outdoor environments, and coordinate with subcontractors as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and 1–5 years of related ITS experience; physical work, safety regulations, and ability to read schematics are essential.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License with acceptable DMV record.
• 1–5 years of ITS/video system experience preferred.
• Knowledge of traffic signal installation, ITS devices and related equipment.
• Familiarity with traffic control codes, OSHA regulations, and safety practices.
• Ability to read schematics and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ITS devices and troubleshoot wiring in cabinets and underground.
• Program video detection systems and install poles, signal heads, and street lighting as needed.
• Troubleshoot and repair wiring on highways; test and splice loop detectors.
• Assist in training new technicians; perform duties of Maintenance Technician and Trainee.
• Schedule subcontractors for electrical and RWIS projects; uphold service quality.
