Job summary

Soliant Health is seeking a Special Education Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year to support diverse programs in Lehigh and Carbon Counties. This itinerant substitute role requires flexibility as you travel between schools, cover vacancies, and respond to district needs.

You will work with Enhanced Autism, MDS Functional, and Emotional Support classrooms, implementing IEP goals and adaptive instruction while collaborating with paraprofessionals, therapists, and families.

Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania Special Education certification is required or preferred based on assignment.
• Experience teaching in special education settings.
• Ability to implement IEP goals and differentiate instruction.
• Strong classroom management and behavior intervention skills.
• Comfortable collaborating with paraprofessionals, therapists, and families.

Responsibilities

• Support instruction in multiple specialized programs as assigned.
• Rapidly learn and adapt to new classroom environments and student needs.
• Implement IEPs and individualized behavioral strategies (including ABA and BIPs where applicable).
• Contribute to adapted curriculum and life skills development.
• Maintain effective communication with staff, students, and families.
