Qualifications

• Teaching certification with endorsement in Special Education.
• Experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably at high school level.
• Strong knowledge of IEPs and ability to develop and implement them.
• Excellent communication with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Compassionate, patient and adaptable to diverse learning needs.
• Creative problem-solving for differentiated instruction.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver individualized instruction tailored to students’ needs.
• Draft and maintain IEPs per state and federal guidelines.
• Track progress, assess learning, adjust instruction for growth.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, admins, and support staff.
• Communicate proactively with families about performance and needs.
• Foster a positive, respectful classroom culture.
