Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university.
• PA Department of Education certificate as a Special Education Teacher.
• Current first aid and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Plans curriculum and prepares lessons and instructional materials according to achievement levels of students.
• Instructs students in basic academic skills including reading, mathematics, written expression, social studies.
• Observes and reports progress; administers and interprets tests.
• Collaborates with parents, administrators, testing specialists, social workers to support students’ IEPs.
• Provides instruction in daily living skills and social/behavioral skills as required.
