Job summary

Paramount Elementary School in Washington County Public Schools is seeking a Paraprofessional Special Education Itinerant Adult Support to assist with IEP-based student goals. Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Two years' experience working with children or equivalent education/experience.
Ability to attain CPI certification.
Ability to lift 30-50 pounds as needed.
Strong data entry and documentation skills.
Regular and predictable attendance.

Responsibilities

Work with individual students and small groups to reinforce skills.
Observe and document behaviors to support data collection for behavior plans.
Document data for progress monitoring and required reports.
Assist in devising strategies for reinforcing skills and instruction.
Operate and assist with classroom equipment.
Supervise and manage students during instructional and non-instructional activities.
Respond to behavior crises with de-escalation and safety techniques.
Assist with personal care and physical management as needed.
Follow through on individual programs and participate in team planning.
