Job summary

Child Development Services’ CDS Two Rivers site in Brewer seeks Ed Tech III to work with preschool children with disabilities ages 3-5 in the Bangor area. This 37.5-hour academic-year position may require travel.

The Educational Technician will support teachers, supervise small groups, and help implement planned learning with a multidisciplinary team. A current Ed Tech certification and criminal history check are required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with preschool populations is recommended.
• A current Ed Tech certification is required.
• Successful background, criminal check, fingerprinting, and reference check are required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise small groups of students in center-based programs.
• Conduct one-on-one or small groups with direct supervision.
• Introduce new learning pre-planned in collaboration with the Preschool Teacher/Case Manager.
• Review and reinforce learning previously introduced by teachers.
• Assist in preparation of classroom materials and management functions.
• Model positive language and behavior for children and families.
• Provide input to completion and maintenance of individual observational child assessments.
• Maintain confidentiality of student and employee information.
