CDS Preschools is seeking Educational Technicians to support children aged 3-5 with disabilities, preparing them for Kindergarten. Positions are full-time at our Presque Isle location, with salaries for Ed Tech I–III and a comprehensive benefits package.

The Educational Technician will work under a teacher's direction, with prior preschool experience and a Maine Ed Tech certification preferred. A criminal history check is required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with preschool populations and with a multidisciplinary team is preferred.
• This role requires a current Educational Technician certification and a criminal history check.

Responsabilités

• Supervise small groups of students in center-based programs.
• Conduct one-on-one or small group sessions under indirect professional supervision.
• Collaborate with Preschool Teacher of Children with Disabilities/Case Manager to introduce planned learning.
• Review and reinforce previously taught material with students.
• Assist in preparing classroom materials and managing classroom activities.
• Model positive language and behavior for children and families.
• Maintain confidentiality of student and employee information.

Salary Range

• Ed Tech I $17.35 - $27.53


• Ed Tech II $19.05 - $29.90


• Ed Tech III $20.62 - $32.09

Description

The Educational Technician will provide instruction to children identified with developmental disabilities under the direction of a teacher. Experience working with preschool populations and working with a multidisciplinary team is preferred. A current Ed Tech certification and a criminal history check are required.

RESPONSIBILITIES Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Supervise small groups of students in center-based programs.


• Conduct one-on-one or small groups with indirect professional supervision.


• Introduce new learning, pre-planned in collaboration with the Preschool Teacher of Children with Disabilities/Case Manager.


• Review and reinforce learning previously introduced by the teacher(s).


• Assist in the preparation of classroom materials and class management functions.


• Exhibit positive language and behavior skills as a model for children and families.


• Provide input to completion and maintenance of individual observational child assessment.


• Maintain confidentiality of all student and employee related information.

Minimum Qualifications

• Obtain and maintain authorization as an Educational Technician with the Maine Department of Education


• Successful background, criminal records, fingerprinting and reference check
