Job summary

Soliant in Vancouver, WA is seeking an itinerant Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to support students across multiple campuses for the full academic year. This full-time contract role emphasizes collaboration with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to maximize access to education for students with hearing loss.

You will travel weekly to different sites, deliver direct instruction and consultative support, and help develop IEPs and strategies tailored to each learner’s needs,

Qualifications

• Valid OSPI Certification with Deaf/Hard of Hearing endorsement.
• Direct experience supporting individuals with cochlear implants and hearing aids.
• Proficiency serving students who utilize FM systems and American Sign Language (ASL).
• Strong understanding of inclusive and adaptive instructional practices.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with educators and families.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized instruction and support for students who are deaf or hard of hearing across multiple school sites.
• Assess student needs and contribute to the development and implementation of IEPs.
• Consult with general education teachers, specialists, and families to foster an accessible learning environment.
• Provide ongoing education, advocacy, and strategies related to assistive technology and communication modalities.
• Participate in team meetings, in-service trainings, and professional development as needed.
• Travel to schools within the district on a weekly itinerary.
