Job summary

Inova Health System is seeking an Item Master Engineer to manage item data, support supply chain operations, and collaborate with multiple departments. The role emphasizes data quality, ERP/MMIS understanding, and reporting using OTBI, Excel, Tableau, and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or 4 years' equivalent experience.
• 3 years of experience with supply chain operations.
• Experience with data management and ERP/MMIS tooling.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve/deny new item requests and change requests using data tools.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Clinical Operations and Billing to resolve issues.
• Generate reports in Oracle OTBI, Excel and Tableau per user requests.
• Ensure data integrity in ERP/MMIS and related systems.
• Identify data anomalies and communicate findings to stakeholders.

• Reviews all new item requests and change requests using data cleansing tools and upload/update tools, approving/denying based on Inova business requirements
• Demonstrates excellent customer service skills when dealing with internal and external customers.
• Works with Supply Chain, Revenue Strategies, Clinical Operations, and Billing to troubleshoot issues and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborates with Sourcing and Price Assurance Analyst team to reconcile contract item information with other sources.
• Works with Buyers, SCMIS and Sourcing to review and correct EDI exception messages related to data quality.
• Utilizes content management provider and create action plans for resolving data issues by defining route cause to improve data Utilize GHX PI scorecards/metrics/KPIs and works to improve results.
• Develops and maintains moderate to complex reports and analyses based on end user requests in Oracle OTBI, Excel, and/or Tableau.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams, such as production, logistics, and finance, to ensure efficient supply chain management and timely delivery of goods and services.
• Demonstrates and applies strong understanding of ERP and MMIS and supporting data tools, such as content management and reporting systems.
• Successfully performs input/upload of accurate data into ERP/MMIS, ensuring data integrity in the process.
• Proactively identifies and corrects anomalies or inaccurate data in ERP/MMIS or the support systems, communicating to stakeholders and escalating to Manager and Director timely and accurately.
• Works with departmental system users to identify opportunities to improve the data and systems.
• Identifies and communicates issues to end-users upon discovery, while alerting Supply Chain team members, Manager and Director.
• Demonstrates and applies strong understanding of the integrated systems and identifies how ERP data impacts the end-users.
• Creates communication and action plans to address these situations.
• Education:Bachelor's degree in related field (or relevant experience in lieu of degree equivalent to 4 years)
• Experience: 3 years of experience with supply chain operations
