Job summary

Eataly West Palm is seeking a Restaurant Line Cook to join our permanent and seasonal kitchen team. This fast-paced, high-volume role includes preparing, cooking and plating authentic Italian dishes in an open kitchen under the Sous Chef Manager or Chef de Cuisine.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in a food prep role, strong knife skills and dexterity; culinary arts training is preferred. Able to work onsite with flexible evenings, weekends, and holidays, and capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a food preparation position.
• Good knife skills and finger dexterity to use small tools and utensils adeptly.
• Degree from a culinary arts training program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Portions, cuts, slices, dips, batters, breads, whips, beats, maintains holding temperature, fries and sautés.
• Selects cuts of meat, poultry, shellfish, fish, game or vegetables to be used for frying or sautéing.
• Plates menu items along with appropriate garnish.
• Follows recipes and complies with portion sizes, quality standards, department rules and procedures, and Department of Health regulations.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned.
