Job summary

Lennar is seeking an Onsite IT Technician II to provide intermediate technical support for Lennar Associates at our communities and offices. You will troubleshoot hardware/software issues, manage data systems, and support internal client relationships to ensure timely, effective service.

This role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and the ability to work with minimal supervision on structured tasks; a minimum 3+ years of relevant experience is expected.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree and IT certifications preferred.
  • Minimum 3+ years of relevant IT support experience.
  • Proven troubleshooting and issue-resolution skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hardware and software issue resolution for Lennar Associates.
  • Manage internal client relationships with complex requests and proactive communication.
  • Produce, update, and provide best practice support documentation.
  • Detail incident summaries and propose solutions.
  • Troubleshoot workstation issues.
  • Enact manufacturer warranties for equipment repair.
  • Maintain ServiceNow tickets daily.
  • Coordinate project plans for installing technology equipment.
  • Resolve printer and copier issues.
  • Coordinate technical support for meetings and events including video conferencing.
  • Maintain, upgrade, install, replace hardware and software.
  • Report server downtime and connectivity issues.
  • Provide weekly status reports.
  • Coordinate third-party support contractors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Onsite IT Manager.

The Onsite IT Technician II provides intermediate technical support for Lennar Associates. This role involves assisting users with hardware and software issues, managing data systems, and supporting internal client relationships. The Onsite IT Technician II will troubleshoot and resolve technical problems, ensuring timely and effective service.

Your Responsibilities On The Team
  • Provide advice and assistance to users to resolve hardware and software issues.
  • Assist in managing internal client relationships by carrying out more complex requests and providing consistent, proactive communication to maintain a high level of service.
  • Produce, update, and provide best practice support documentation.
  • Provide deeper incident summaries and propose solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve computer workstation issues.
  • Enact manufacturer's warranties for equipment repair.
  • Maintain and update Service Now tickets daily with accurate, scientific, and reproducible details.
  • Help different divisions prepare and coordinate project plans for the installation of technology equipment.
  • Resolve printer and copier issues across the division.
  • Arrange and coordinate technical support for meetings and events, including video conferencing and traditional audio/visual needs.
  • Maintain, upgrade, install, replace hardware, and software as required.
  • Report instances of server downtime and LAN/WAN connectivity issues immediately.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting on LAN/WAN connectivity under guidance.
  • Provide weekly status reports summarizing activities and outstanding issues.
  • Monitor and assist with coordinating third-party support contractors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Onsite IT Manager.
Requirements
  • Understanding of technology standards with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to perform structured work assignments.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting IT issues.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to recognize and elevate issues appropriately.
  • High school diploma required or GED is required; Bachelor’s degree and relevant IT certifications (CompTIA A+ or equivalent) preferred.
  • Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience.
Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements

Regular, in-person attendance at Company communities/job sites and offices during regular work hours is an essential function of this job. Requires the ability to work more than eight hours per day in the confined quarters of a construction trailer, the ability to operate a motor vehicle, read plans, climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and/or carry equipment which may be in excess of 50 pounds. Job may require occasional operation of construction equipment. Finger dexterity may be required to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
