Job description

BELL Construction is hiring for a IT Technician to join us in Brentwood, TN. The IT Technician will provide operational maintenance of the company’s computer systems to ensure a safe and reliable network while adhering to business requirements, budgets, and timelines. The IT Technician will provide customer support with Active Directory, troubleshooting/helpdesk services, and be responsible for ordering and maintaining equipment, tools, and resources to ensure all remain current and up to date.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintains a stable, safe, and reliable network for employees.
• Prioritizes end-user support and ensures ability to perform duties is not limited or hindered by technology.
• Maintains all technology resources, including equipment, tools, and programs.
• Ensures consistent and reliable functionality of backups and data.
• Patches PCs, ensures proper installations, and provides general endpoint support.
• Troubleshoots issues with Viewpoint and other software. Consults with software support departments as needed to resolve issues.
• Monitors, reviews, and maintains IT solutions as required to meet business needs.
• Implements and enforces IT policies and procedures.
• Ensures security of data, network access, and backup systems.
• Performs additional responsibilities as needed.

Education & Experience

• Minimum required – Highschool diploma or GED.
• Bachelor’s degree or associate's degree in technology or similar field
• Minimum required – Two (2) years of IT/IS experience.
• Construction industry experience preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to always manage sensitive and confidential information.
• Good organizational, time management, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to carry at least 20 pounds occasionally.
• Well-rounded knowledge of IT infrastructure preferred, including:
• Network and routing configuration.
• Psec site to site VPN tunnels.
• Windows server management, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Experience with MS Hyper V virtual servers preferred.
• Active Directory management and group policy configuration preferred.
• Cisco/Meraki network configuration and maintenance preferred.
• Familiar with Backup and Replication technologies. Unitrends preferred.
• Powershell knowledge preferred.
