Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an IT Technician in Wheeling, IL to support the Wheeling facility and provide on-site assistance to the Elkhorn, WI site roughly every other week. You will handle incidents, service requests, and provisioning, installation, and maintenance of desktop hardware, software, and related IT infrastructure.

The role emphasizes end-user support, hardware/software troubleshooting, MS 365 support, equipment deployment and maintenance, and ensuring smooth IT operations across two

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of IT support experience.
• Hands-on experience installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting IT hardware and software.
• Experience supporting Windows OS, Entra ID/AD, Intune, and Microsoft 365 apps (OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, Exchange).
• Experience supporting workstations, laptops, peripherals, printers, copiers, UPS, and other site IT resources.
• Understanding of networking concepts, VMware, cybersecurity, and system/user administration.
• Experience handling incident and service requests in a help desk environment.
• Strong communication, customer service, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and provide onsite support at Elkhorn, WI biweekly.
• Associate degree in Computer Science or a technical field.
• Understanding of VoIP systems, particularly 3CX.
• Experience with ManageEngine ServiceDesk and Endpoint Central.
• Experience supporting IT operations in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-user IT support and resolve hardware/software issues.
• Troubleshoot Windows OS, apps, and network connectivity.
• Support Microsoft 365 apps including OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, and Exchange.
• Deploy and maintain IT equipment and configurations.
• Manage and respond to help desk requests and incidents.

You will be primarily supporting the Wheeling facility while providing onsite support to the Elkhorn, WI facility approximately once every other week. You will provide technical support and assistance to address issues and ensure smooth IT operations. You will handle incident and service requests, as well as perform tasks related to the provisioning, installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktop hardware, software, and related infrastructure communications. Main responsibilities for this role include providing end-user support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, supporting Microsoft 365 applications, deploying and maintaining IT equipment, managing help desk requests, and ensuring reliable day-to-day IT operations across both facilities.

Skills and Requirements

• 2–3 years of IT support experience.

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and provide onsite support at the Elkhorn, WI facility approximately once every other week.
• Associate degree in Computer Science or another technical field.
• Understanding of VoIP systems, particularly 3CX.
• Experience with ManageEngine ServiceDesk and Endpoint Central.
• Experience supporting IT operations within a manufacturing environment.
