Job summary

Ducommun Incorporated is seeking an IT Technician to provide on-site information technology support at our manufacturing facility. You will handle hardware/software issues, user accounts, data backups, VOIP devices, printers and mobile devices, while coordinating with network services on LAN/WAN problems.

The role requires a technical degree (associate preferred) and at least 6 months of Windows server/client experience.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical field; high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum six (6) months experience in installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting for Windows-based hardware and OS.

Responsibilities

• Provide end user hardware/software support at the manufacturing site.
• Manage IT Help Desk tickets and ensure timely resolution and documentation.
• Maintain Active Directory user accounts and group policies.
• Support data backup processes and rotation.
• Provide support for VOIP phones, printers, scanners and mobile devices.
• Assist with LAN/WAN issues and server room operations as needed.
• Ensure SOX 404 audits and compliance with security standards and policies.

Job Summary & Essential Functions

The IT Technician provides Information Technology support to assigned manufacturing site. The support responsibilities include hardware, software, account management and data backups. The level assigned will be based on education, certifications, skills, knowledge and experience.

• Perform end user support tasks such as computer hardware acquisition, deployment, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair and replacement.
• Prioritize, schedule, review and ensure the timely and effective resolution and documentation of issues and requests logged into the IT Help Desk ticketing system.
• Maintain Active Directory User Accounts, Security and Distribution Groups and related change requests.
• Supports data backup and rotation.
• Provide support for Multi-Function Printers (MFPs) and related applications, desktop printers, scanners and faxing.
• Provide support for mobile devices such as smart phones and tablets.
• Provide basic support for Voice Over IP (VOIP) phones.
• Support server room operations when directed including user account administration, data backups, restores and backup media rotations.
• Responsible for deployment of PCs at the site.
• Assist in resolving Local Area Network (LAN) issues where applicable and coordinating with the Network Services regarding network or other infrastructure changes and Wide Area Network (WAN) / LAN issues and Internet issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on all active systems excluding devices or systems directly supported by a vendor like copiers and other highly proprietary systems and devices.
• Responsible for Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) 404 audits.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and policies.
• Perform and document internal Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 audits according to published schedules, policies and procedures.
• Implement or assist with designated IT system-based controls related to CMMC requirements.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and policies.
• Support the implementation of the I.T. components of site specific and / or companywide projects or initiatives.
• As needed, be available after hours to provide support for alerts issued by the applicable Monitoring System and or management.
• Assist IT department peers in troubleshooting and support tasks when circumstances warrant.
• Adhere to all IT policies and follow all IT Standard Work Instructions.
• Provide end user training as required.

Required Education And Experience

• Prefer Associates Degree in Technical Field. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum six (6) months years of experience in the installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting and resolving issues with Intel and Microsoft Windows based server and client hardware and operating systems, preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills And Capabilities

• Previous IT experience within a manufacturing environment preferred.
• IT Help Desk ticketing system experience preferred.
• Microsoft Active Directoryand related technologies and services such as TCP/IP, DHCP, Domain Name Service (DNS) preferred
• File and print services experience
• Anti-Virus application management and support experience
• Basic Active Directory and Microsoft Office 365 account administration skills preferred.
• Able to install Windows Desktop and Server Operating Systems and applications like Office, Visio, Project, McAfee Virus Scan, ERP clients and engineering software.
• Experienced with data backup and restore principles, technology and methods including backup job and media management preferred.
• Experience with deloying PC / Laptop workstations.
• Able to respond to system issues outside of normal work hours, as needed.
• Able to multi-task, think creatively and work proactively as part of a cross functional team both within and outside of the I.T. department.
• Ability to exercise strict confidentiality in all matters.
