Job summary

Augsburg University on campus is seeking a student for the TechDesk to provide general information and technical support to users, document interactions, and escalate issues per procedures.

Schedule is 7am–3pm, Monday–Friday, minimum 6 hours per week. Compensation is $16.45 per hour; Minnesota Sick and Safe Time applies and health insurance is not included for this role. Applicants must be enrolled and work-study eligible.

Qualifications

• Must be a current Augsburg student and work-study eligible.
• Punctuality and reliability required.
• Familiarity troubleshooting software and hardware.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Document every user interaction related to requests for support using the ticketing system.
• Provide information and technical support to walk-up users at the TechDesk and escalate issues per procedures.
• Answer the TechDesk telephone and assist callers; escalate when necessary.
• Answer the Classroom Services phone and dispatch student staff as needed.
• Follow up with users on reported problems and research issues as needed.
• Ensure data security by handling confidential student account information and notifying supervisors in emergencies.
• Perform other tasks related to the TechDesk or IT department as assigned.
