Job summary

Karman Space & Defense is seeking a hands-on IT Help Desk Technician in West Valley City, UT to provide Level 1 support, deploy devices, and maintain Microsoft 365 environments. You will triage incidents, support GCC High services, and help keep assets and documentation accurate for secure, standardized technology services in a fast-moving aerospace/defense setting.

The role reports to the Director of IT and requires strong customer service, basic networking, and experience with ticketing tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years IT help desk or desktop support experience.
• Working knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365.
• Basic networking knowledge: Wi‑Fi, VPN, DNS, DHCP, IP.
• Experience with ticketing systems and clear documentation.
• Strong customer service with the ability to follow procedures and escalate appropriately.

Responsibilities

• Triages, troubleshoots, resolves, and escalates incidents; documents clearly and contributes to the knowledge base.
• Images, configures, deploys, and troubleshoots endpoints and devices; handles onboarding/offboarding; supports patching and security.
• Provides Level 1 Microsoft 365 Government GCC High support; assists with access, calendars, file sharing, and Teams issues.
• Delivers on-site support for conference rooms, printers, and network devices; supports onboarding of new sites.
• Maintains asset records for devices; supports audits and reconciliation.
• Follows security policies; supports CMMC, CUI, SOX, and cybersecurity readiness.
• Identifies phishing, malware, and unauthorized software; supports audits and remediation.
