Job summary

Karman Space & Defense is seeking a hands-on IT help desk specialist to provide Level 1 support across Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, and GCC High environments. You will deploy, troubleshoot, and document issues while maintaining asset records and supporting onboarding of new hires across multiple sites.

Reporting to the Director of IT, this role requires strong customer service, basic networking, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced aerospace/defense setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years IT help desk, desktop, or field support.
• Working knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365.
• Basic networking: Wi‑Fi, VPN, DNS, DHCP, IP.
• Experience with ticketing systems and clear documentation.
• Strong customer service with ability to follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Triages, troubleshoots, resolves, and escalates incidents and requests across multiple channels.
• Supports user issues in Windows, M365, browsers, printers, VPN, passwords, and access.
• Images, configures, deploys, and troubleshoots endpoints and devices; handles onboarding and offboarding.
• Provides Level 1 collaboration support for M365 GCC High, including meetings, calendaring, file sharing, and Teams access; escalates complex issues.
• Delivers on-site support for conference rooms, AV, printers, shop-floor devices, and network-connected equipment; assists with onboarding sites.
• Maintains accurate asset records and supports audits and disposal.
