Job summary

Progressive Tractor & Implement Co is seeking an IT Specialist to provide technology support to all employees. You will report to the IT Director and independently manage IT tasks across hardware, software, network, and user training.

The role requires strong communication, data analysis, and problem-solving skills, along with a proactive attitude and reliable health. Some evening or weekend events may be required to adequately address agency needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent ability to analyze data and identify trends.
• Strong written, verbal, presentation and communication skills.
• Positive attitude, proactive mentality, responsive, and strong work ethic.
• Good physical and emotional health.
• Must show proof of valid driver's license and approved Motor Vehicles Record.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and recommends hardware and software to satisfy user requirements.
• Installs hardware and peripheral components on users' premises.
• Provides technical support to users for voice and phone systems, including RingCentral and voicemail.
• Loads software packages such as operating systems, networking components and office applications.
• Provides network and server administration and oversight, including security and backup monitoring.
• Assists in customization and adaptation of existing programs to meet user requirements.
• Provides telephone, in-person and online support to end-users.
• Coordinates activities with network services and information systems groups.
• Provides updates and status information to managers and users via various channels.
• Refers major hardware problems to service personnel for correction.
• Connects user to networks and provides initial training in facilities and applications.
• Administers email and anti-virus systems.
• Coordinates with vendors for technology-related services such as printer/copier maintenance.
• Assists in research and procurement of computer accessories and supplies.
• Lead IT projects as requested.
• Attend meetings to address IT issues and provide direction.
• Resolve IT problems and obtain outside resources as needed.
