Job summary

The City of Bryan is seeking an IT Systems Support Specialist III to serve as the primary point of contact for employees and end users, delivering front-line technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and related peripherals. This role focuses on troubleshooting hardware and software issues and supporting network file and print services to keep city operations running smoothly.

You will install, configure and maintain Microsoft operating systems and Microsoft 365 apps,

Qualifications

Ability and willingness to participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
Must be able to access Texas CJIS System data; no felony or Class A misdemeanor within past 10 years.

Responsibilities

Deliver frontline IT support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
Escalate complex problems to the appropriate team when needed.
Document, classify, and track support cases for timely resolutions.
Install, upgrade, and maintain workstations and peripheral devices.
Deploy and configure Microsoft OS and Microsoft 365/Office apps.
Maintain IT asset inventory and adhere to hardware/software standards.
Stay current with industry trends and participate in ongoing training.
Collaborate with colleagues and maintain reliable attendance.
Participate in rotating 24/7 on-call support for critical systems.
