Job summary

Mountain Empire Community College is seeking an Information Technology Specialist II to coordinate and support campus IT systems and services. You will configure and maintain hardware and software, diagnose connectivity issues, and assist staff and students with access to shared drives and devices.

Qualifications

• Three years of progressive experience in systems administration, desktop support, or related IT role.
• Bachelor’s degree may substitute for two years of experience.
• Equivalent education/experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and maintain assigned processing systems and procedures, ensuring efficiency and user satisfaction.
• Provide direct support to staff and students across the MECC campus for hardware/software setup and problem resolution.
• Diagnose connectivity or data access issues and assist users with access to shared drives and devices.
• Build and maintain databases and servers as part of IT operations.
