Job summary

The Cobb County School District seeks a Systems Engineer II, Customer Care Center to deliver second-tier hardware, software, and network support across multiple platforms. You will perform system administration tasks, monitor networks, manage user access, and provide remote support to end users in a fast-paced educational environment.

The role requires 2–5 years of related experience, an associate degree or equivalent, and a Microsoft certifications like MCTS.

Qualifications

Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
MCTS certification or equivalent required.
2–5 years of experience in network engineering and systems administration and help desk support.
Experience with help desk ticketing applications.
Strong written and oral communication abilities.

Responsibilities

Monitor network infrastructure and servers using monitoring tools; take action as needed.
Create and manage help desk service requests via calls, email, and portal.
Provide second-tier hardware and software support to end users remotely.
Coordinate between network services and field teams.
Recover user files from backups and assist with password resets and access control.
Support Apple workstations/servers and assist with student testing processes.
