Job summary

Confidential Careers is seeking an experienced IT Systems & Support Specialist to maintain and improve the company technology environment. You will provide day-to-day support, manage ERP and business systems, and contribute to hardware, software, networking, and cybersecurity initiatives.

The role requires strong problem-solving, communication skills, and the ability to work independently. 100% onsite in Research Triangle Park, NC with opportunities to lead ERP implementations and IT projects.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of hands-on IT experience in a business environment.
• Strong hardware, software, and technical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with Windows, Microsoft 365, business applications, and ERP systems.
• Experience with IT projects, system upgrades, implementations, or migrations.
• Working knowledge of networking fundamentals and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Experience with user accounts, permissions, endpoint management, and security practices.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical employees.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently while collaborating with others.
• Cybersecurity and endpoint protection.

Responsibilities

• Support department managers and employees to identify technology needs and improve efficiency and system utilization.
• Install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and replace computers, printers, mobile devices, and other IT equipment.
• Provide technical support for Windows, Microsoft 365, business applications, and user systems.
• Support software installations, updates, patches, licensing, user access, and system configurations.
• Provide day-to-day technical support for ERP and business systems, including troubleshooting and testing.
• Participate in and lead some ERP implementations, upgrades, integrations, migrations, and process improvements.
• Support network connectivity, wireless systems, servers, endpoint protection, backups, and IT infrastructure.
• Assist with user accounts, permissions, security controls, and IT security practices.
• Provide responsive, professional support to employees and communicate issues, status, and resolutions.
• Participate in IT projects involving hardware, software, ERP, networking, cloud services, cybersecurity, and business applications.
• Coordinate with software providers, ERP vendors, and outside IT vendors as needed.
• Maintain accurate IT inventory, system documentation, procedures, licenses, and records.
• Protect company information through security and endpoint protection programs.
• Identify recurring problems and opportunities for preventative solutions and continuous improvement.
• Escalate security concerns or significant technical issues promptly.
• Develop and update technical procedures and user instructions.
• Maintain confidentiality and protect company information with discretion.
